== Chain of Command == To effectively operate, the Department has a clear and short structure. * '''Director of Research''' * '''Board of Research''' * '''Leading Researcher / Project Leader''' * '''Senior Researcher''' * '''Researcher''' * '''Junior Researcher''' * '''Intern / Lab Assistant''' Most employees never achieve higher than Researcher or Senior Researcher during their employment at ANRC, with Leading or Board being ''extremely'' rare positions to have. Project Leader is an individual rank issued to anybody currently in charge of a research project, which is not very common. Most staff end up assisting various projects rather than leading their own, as only the brightest and most encouraged staff will end up going through the proposal process. To individualize certain ranks, the RD established a coat-line system to indicate who is of what rank. (Graphic image TBD) === Board of Research === The Board of Research was established roughly 4 years after the department's organisation, and consists of some of the most experienced or oldest scientists among Research staff, with the current Board member count being only 12 members. The Board primarily convenes on matters regarding proposed research projects or issues with on-going projects, often meeting with Project Leaders to receive updates and to issue on-the-fly orders or cancellations. They're considered as the first line to meet with when proposing the project. The Board of Research is under the direction of the current Director of Research, and responds to nobody else but the CEO or COO of ANRC.
