== Overview ==
The ''Arte-Nakatomi Research Company'' (Abbreviated commonly as '''ANRC''') is a international research organization that primarily specializes in supporting human-made projects focusing on the improvement of human lives in some fashion. While they do support other projects, these kinds of projects are the most worthwhile for the company. ANRC primarily operates out of the United States and Canada, having most of their locations in these regions, but some of their more important facilities, like the '''ANIRC''', are located in other countries.

ANRC's motto is "Creating a Better Future, One Atom at a Time," a quote from their founder, [[Asakura Nakatomi]]. They describe their goal as encouraging young scientists to chase their dreams, and credit their staff for making the company what it is today. Infamously, ANRC easily funds the dream projects of their staff, even providing staff and materials. However, they're also known for a rigorous review process. Staff must speak to the '''Board of Research''' or even the '''[[Management Board]]''' to gain materials.

ANRC is most popular for their invention of the '''[[Black Hole Reactor]]'''.

== History ==
ANRC was originally founded as the '''Arte-Nakatomi Laboratories''' by [[Asakura Nakatomi]] and [[Maya Arte-Dramkt]] in 20XX, starting out of a studio-turned-lab in Tacoma, Washington, utilizing funding given to them by a select few teachers at their universities. The staff, originally, counted at 20 or less, and were mostly fellow students that they had dragged on board to help get this lab off the ground. Their first immediate projects could be counted as science-fair level.

However, in April of 20XX, Asakura and Maya had scraped enough money together to fund their first real project, an independent study focusing on nuclear power. With the assistance of a local nuclear plant, which would later become the Squaxin Plant, the Laboratory conducted a few tests on a mixed Uranium/Plutonium nuclear reaction, the first of it's kind. The study succeeded, showing mixed Uranium/Plutonium (UriPlo) reactions were a viable source of energy, albeit a bit difficult to stabilize. 

In light of this discovery, the Laboratory was visited by the Department of Energy within weeks, where representatives sat down with Asakura and Maya and discussed their study.
