Overview
ANRC's Security Department is the main force behind ensuring the safety of ANRC employees, and similarly enforcing Internal Affairs summons as necessary. While they are not overly militarized, they are still strong and typically armed while on-duty. Only about 9% of ANRC's general employees end up with the Security Department, and are often veterans or ex-private security. Some may go on to operate within Specialized Security, a more secretive part of Security. A few may also go on to work within the Department of Cybersecurity.
Chain of Command
Security's command structure is a little more complicated compared to others.
- Director of Security
- Deputy Director
- Colonel
- Lieutenant Colonel
- Major
- Captain
- Lieutenant
- Officer Cadet
- Warrant Officer
- Sergeant
- Corporal
- Specialist
- Private
Security was structured off a classic army structure to more effectively divide its squads and deployments, especially in regards to CoC across sites. There will be at least one Major or Lieutenant Colonel at any ANRC site requiring security.
Sub-Departments
Specialized Security
Commanded by Deputy Director Kanan Welthardt, Specialized is a more armed and armored division that escorts and guards Management Board or Chief Officers while in public spaces. Most operatives within SpecSec are not publically known aside from officers of Lieutenant rank or above.
Cybersecurity
Lead by Chief Cyberweaver Michael Kuznetsov, Cybersecurity is in charge of database encryption and firewall upkeep within the general cyber infrastructure of ANRC technology. This specific department sees very few staff, only having around 30 members by 2052.
