Overview
[edit]The Squaxin Nuclear Laboratory & Power Station (commonly abbreviated to SNLPS), located in the United States near Duvall, Washington, is ANRC's oldest site, built off the skeleton of the previous nuclear plant in the area. It is the dedicated hub to research on nuclear materials, and also serves as the host to ANRC's first experimental nuclear reactor, which continues to operate to this day.
Today, ANRC focuses on managing the research conducted within the site, while the AN-Flir Energy Corporation is now in charge of maintaining and operating the nuclear reactor on-site, with assistance from the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
